Remembrance Day Poppy Pinning Volunteers Needed
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 invites members of the public to join us in supporting one of Canada’s most important traditions by volunteering for our annual Poppy Campaign.
Each year, thousands of Canadians proudly wear a poppy as a visible act of remembrance for the brave men and women who served and sacrificed in times of war, military conflict, and peacekeeping operations. The poppy serves as a powerful symbol of gratitude, respect, and remembrance. By wearing a poppy, Canadians help ensure that the sacrifices of our Veterans are never forgotten.
Volunteering for poppy pinning is a meaningful way to give back to your community, honour our Veterans, and help preserve the spirit of Remembrance for future generations. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or several days, your support makes a difference.
We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Join us in helping Canadians wear their poppies with pride and keeping the tradition of Remembrance alive.

What is Poppy Pinning?
Poppy pinning is the act of distributing and helping people wear the Remembrance Day poppy during the annual Poppy Campaign. Volunteers visit businesses, community events, shopping centres, and public locations to offer poppies and collect donations in support of Canada’s Veterans and their families.
Poppy pinning provides an opportunity to speak with members of the public about the importance of remembrance and the sacrifices made by those who served our country.
Why is it Important to Wear a Poppy?
Wearing a poppy is a simple but meaningful way to honour the courage, service, and sacrifice of Canadian Veterans and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.
The poppy reminds us of the freedoms we enjoy today and the cost at which they were secured. It serves as a promise that we will remember those who gave so much in service to Canada.
By wearing a poppy, you show respect for our Veterans, support the tradition of Remembrance, and help ensure their stories and sacrifices are passed on to future generations.
Lest We Forget.
